Jong Soon Lim, CEO of Globiz Co., Ltd, has been honored as a new member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK) for the year 2020.
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – Jong Soon Lim, CEO of Globiz Co., Ltd, has been honored as a new member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK) for the year 2020.
The NAEK is the highest authority in the field of engineering technology in Korea, conducting academic research and support projects related to engineering/technology, alongside international exchange and cooperation projects. Its purpose is to contribute to the creative technological development and sustainable advancement of the nation. Each year, the NAEK selects and appoints top experts who have made significant contributions to the development of national industries through excellent research results and technological development from academia, industry, and national institutions.

CEO Jong Soon Lim of Globiz has been appointed as a member in the field of convergence engineering of the NAEK this year, recognized for his outstanding expertise in the fields of Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) of railway vehicles, Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), Predictive Health Monitoring (PHM) of big data, and 4th Industrial Revolution technology (IoT).
CEO Jong Soon Lim earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from KAIST in 1993, and has worked in major research institutes including KIST for over 20 years. In the field of engineering, he has applied and registered 50 patents, published and presented 32 papers, and has carried out 75 research projects.
